Amateur Rugby Club
Elite Men’s Rugby
The Glendale Raptors elite men’s team competes in an elite competition in the spring and the Pacific Rugby Premiership in the fall. The men practice Tuesday and Thursday evenings (from 6-8pm) while in season with matches on Saturday. Concurrently, the men field a sevens side that competes in the USA Rugby regional qualifiers and national tournament over the course of the summer (June through August).
Elite and Development Women’s Rugby
The Glendale Raptors elite women’s team competes in the Women’s Premier League along with the other top seven women’s teams in the country. Their competitive season takes place in the fall, August through November, with the National Championships in mid-November. The women’s program also carries a development side, which competes in USA Rugby’s Women’s Division 1. While in season, the women practice Tuesday and Thursday evenings and play matches on either Saturday or Sunday.
Men’s Development Rugby
The men’s development teams compete in USA Rugby’s Division 2 and 3 as part of the Frontier Region and Rocky Mountain Union. The men’s season starts in the fall with matches August through November, and concludes in the spring with matches March through May. The season leads toward the National Championships every June. The men practice Tuesday and Thursday evenings (from 6-8pm) while in season and play matches on Saturday. Also, the Development team fields a social sevens side that plays in local leagues over the course of the summer.
