Eight Women Raptors were invited to the two-day Olympic Eagle Training Center camp this weekend in Broomfield, Colo. The regional training centers support development for current and potential national team players.
Carol Fabrizio, Joanna Kitlinkski, Andrea Prusinski and Kandis Ruiz, and current Eagles Sarah Chobot, Hannah Stolba, Kittery Wagner and Sarah Wilson participated in athletic performance testing in various events such as weight lifting, speed, endurance, nutrition, mental toughness and fitness. In addition the players worked on specific rugby skill development to better prepare for match competition.
The focus points for the camp included strength and conditioning programs and developing skills and a high-performance lifestyle. Glendale Director of Rugby Mark Bullock served as backs coach for the camp.
