Marketing partnership
Success “Our success has really been based on partnerships from the very beginning.”
Bill Gates
Similar to Microsoft, the success at Infinity Park has been based on partners that we have worked and grown with over the past five years. These partners come in a variety of sizes, but can be categorized into a few categories: advertising/media, sponsors, and community.
Advertising and media are two crucial parts to the success in any major public business. One key to success at Infinity Park is to create multi-faceted relationships. The media philosophy is to go beyond just purchasing advertising by entering into a partnership with added value for both parties. For example, Channel 7, the second-highest-rated news station in the Denver area, is not only someone we purchase advertising from, they are a sponsor and media partner. They publish our press releases and support major events and announcements with news coverage. Over the past three years this relationship has grown and now they even broadcast Glendale rugby matches. The relationship with our radio partner 102.3 ESPN goes beyond commercial spots, each week during the season a rugby player has a live on-air interview. The station goes beyond in providing bonus spots, advertising and promotion for all Infinity Park events. Root Sports, with three million subscribers, helped put rugby on the map by broadcasting Glendale rugby matches from the very beginning. Each year they work hard to obtain better time slots and coverage for Infinity Park and Glendale Rugby.
Sponsors are the heartbeat of Infinity Park. Infinity Park is a sponsorship-driven facility and each year the marketing team works hard to create new sponsorships and strengthen existing partnerships. The Infinity Park marketing team has a unique approach to sponsorship where they become an extension of the sponsors’ sales and marketing team. Marketing plans and promotions are developed for each sponsor and implemented throughout the year, whether through grassroots, social, online, mainstream or other forms of marketing. With over 30 sponsors each year and an 85% sponsorship-retention rate this method is working. Infinity Park boasts sponsors the likes of Guinness, Coca-Cola, Sports Authority, KMGH Channel 7, Comcast, AlphaGraphics, Loews Denver Hotel and many more. The businesses that sponsor Infinity Park range in size and have various budgets and marketing initiatives. The Infinity Park marketing team works with any budget and develops custom sponsorship packages to meet the marketing and branding plans of your business. The sponsorship opportunities are ever evolving and growing, and the possibilities are endless.
Glendale is a very tight-knit community, and the community partners within Glendale have partnered with Infinity Park in different ways. Businesses don’t have to be a cash sponsor to be a part of the project; the Infinity Park marketing team creates cross-promotional programs and opportunities so all may be involved and help market the Infinity Park message. Whole Foods distributed rugby coupons in their store throughout rugby season, donated snacks and gift cards to be given out during games, and even allowed players to sit outside the store and market the sport of rugby to its patrons. In exchange, Infinity Park gave Whole Foods recognition on the jumbotron, online, through email and more! Through these cross-promotional campaigns both parties benefit and exchange goods and services without exchanging funds. This is just one example of the many community partners Infinity Park has worked with over the years. Other community partners have included Pinkberry, Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, Modmarket and many more!
